With life being pretty quiet during February, Laraine decided it was time to get a bit more active and set up the inaugural meeting of Eigg Run Club. Four keen beans turned up at 9am on a very wet Sunday morning to run through the forest. A good time was had by all, and over the course of the month each session was well attended by a variety of people.
On the business front, our new sit on top kayaks arrived! We’re very excited to offer kayaking this summer; after all, it’s a great way to see the shoreline and look for the local wildlife. We can’t wait for the weather to improve so we can get out there and start exploring!
We also took delivery of our new hybrid bikes. We’ve ordered two women specific bikes and four unisex bikes. We’ve been very impressed with our existing fleet of Giant Revels so we stuck with the brand and are really pleased with the Rove and Roam models that we’ve received. They’re looking shiny and wonderful, and we think they’ll be really popular. They have slightly bigger wheels and narrower tyres than the mountain bikes, which means they roll more quickly over the tarmac so they’ll be perfect for people who just want to use them to get across the island, rather than exploring the off road areas.
