"Great news today as our Eigg Community Hub extension and reinvention, An Laimhrig, has secured more than £1M of Lottery Funding. Well done to the brilliant team at Isle of Eigg Heritage Trust. ⠀

The project includes new shop and bar and office extensions, and the complete reorganisation of existing interior spaces for heritage information, the island cafe, craft shop, and @eiggadventures. The first phase of work which includes visitor and campers toilets and showers is due on site later in 2020.⠀

The project was initially developed by architect Sam Foster, with WTA taking it on at the end of 2019, with a great team including @davidnarroassociates, @harleyhaddow and Morham & Brotchie Oban. ⠀

Eigg Adventures on tour. Since we closed for the winter we're getting bike withdrawal symptoms. Since we haven't any bikes to clean or hire out right now, we thought we'd go see some chap talking about them instead.
We're up in Inverness to see the legend that is @stevepeat on his Bikes and Beers tour at @edencourttheatrecinema. We're very excited!

This weekend Laraine (left) headed off the island

This weekend Laraine (left) headed off the island to meet up with running pal Sarah to run the Illuminator Race, a 15 mile night time trail race through the Glen Tanar forest. The girls completed the run in under 3 hours, bang on target and very happy with themselves considering the terrain and the near 2000ft of elevation!
