Isle of Eigg E-Bike Hire
My adult Trek FX Hybrid E-Bikes are now available for hire, and allow you to explore a lot more of the island… with a lot less effort!! Sometimes we need a helping hand up the hills, and our E-Bikes are perfect for helping you get around Eigg. Take a cycle to see the fantastic Laig Beach or Singing Sands and stop along the way to take in the fantastic views. A leisurely cycle from the pier to Laig beach takes just 25 minutes on average.
Our E-Bikes are custom built lightweight front drive hybrid bikes and they are based upon the fantastic Trek FX1 hybrid and innovative Swytch technology. They are surprisingly light, nimble and easy to uses – when you pedal the bike provides low, medium or high levels of assistance. We have 8 E-Bikes in total in small, medium and large sizes to suit almost all adults. When you arrive to collect your bike and helmet you will be given a full demonstration of how the bike works, a safety briefing and I can talk you through the map of Eigg to help you get the most out of your day.
When you hire an E-Bike from Eigg Adventures you will be one of a very select group of people that can say you have ridden an electric bike powered by the worlds first independent renewable island grid. 95% of our power is generated from renewable sources (wind, solar and hydro), and therefore 95% of my E-Bike miles are also renewable. My E-Bikes are priced at £35 per day including helmet with discounts available for hires longer than three days. Click here to send me an enquiry and I’ll respond as soon as possible, it would be helpful if you could include that day/dates you need the bike(s) and your approximate heights.
Please note: we only hire adult e-bikes as the current UK age limit for their use is 14
